My Profile
I joined Janney in 2003 as Vice President/Investments. With over 13 years of industry experience, I am able to help my clients meet the challenges the financial world often brings. Before joining Janney, I worked in sales, marketing and management in the broadcasting industry and Fortune 500 companies.
By holding FINRA Series 7, 31, 63 and 65 licenses as well as Life and Long-Term Care insurance, I am able to give the quality financial advice my clients need to properly make investment decisions designed to meet their investment objectives. In addition, I hold certification from the Dorsey Wright & Associates Broker Institute. This certification is for successful completion of training in Point & Figure technical analysis.
I hold a Masters in Business Administration from East Carolina University. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communications from North Carolina State University.
My professional associations include capacities as a Director of the North Raleigh Rotary Club; Chairman of the Leads One, Capital City Leads Club; member of the North Carolina State Alumni Association and also serve on the Membership Council of the Capital City Club. I was also the former Secretary of Theta Chi Alumni Corporation.
Active in my community, I am a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and have been a Leading Fundraiser for the Tour de Cure – benefitting the American Diabetes Association.
I was born in Canada where my father was playing professional baseball. He was a former All-American baseball player and captain of the Collegiate World Series Champions. Through my maternal side of my family, I am a descendant (pending) of Francis Cooke who came over on the Mayflower.
I grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina and have two sons, Ethan and Nate. Together with my wife, Simone, my family resides in Raleigh. In my spare time I enjoy golf, bicycling, saltwater fishing, and following college and professional sports. I am also a member of the Raleigh Saltwater Sportfishing Club.
